We are currently recruiting for permanent fulltime Operations Manager to be based at our processing plant located at Gillman in South Australia.

 

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, this vacancy will oversee one of our busy processing sites within our Asia Pacific region. For the true potential of this site to be unlocked, we are seeking a qualified and suitably experienced manager to support the development of both the business and team at Gillman operations.

 

Key responsibilities will include;

  • Effective management of the team, plant and contractors to ensure all activities operate in accordance with company OH&S, Environment and Quality systems; promote and foster the ‘going for zero' safety performance for all employees, contractors and visitors alike. 
  • Analyse and rectify inefficiencies within the production process; make recommendations for upgrade, modification or replacement of equipment to achieve optimum profitability and production performance and optimisation.
  • Efficient and effective use of resources to maintain a viable and sustainable operation.
  • Contribute to the setting, monitoring and delivery of financial and capital budgets and strategic site objectives. 
  • Maintain sound customer relations through the commercial team and develop and maintain solid relationships stakeholders such as the community, neighbours, contractors, DPI, EPA, and local council and other regulators.

 

The successful candidate will hold a relevant tertiary qualification that is supported by proven management experience within a manufacturing and processing environment. You will lead by example in regards to safety, ensuring a culture of zero workplace injuries and employee wellness is maintained and have a basic level of financial understanding and capability skill set.

 

Your Strong leadership skills that highlight your ability to ensure a cohesive team approach to reaching business objectives will be evident, as will your ability to initiate, contribute to, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
