This role would be located at the Spone site in Norway (approx.40min drive from Hønefoss, 50min drive to Drammen & less than 1h30min from Oslo) with regular visits (1 week a month minimum) to the Fossbekk site (approx. 30mins from Kristiansand)
Spone is a small but modern silica sand quarry and processing & distribution plant with a current headcount of 10 and plans for growth. Fossbekk is an efficient quartz processing and distribution site with a headcount of 6.
This is an attractive role for a person ambitious to progress their career within Operations.
The Site Manager organises, optimises and continually improves the operational activities on his/her sites together with the relevant stakeholders from other disciplines (e.g Sales, H&S, Geology, Sustainability, etc.), taking into account the local regulations, permits, the agreed budget and the Sibelco Values and policies. All this to be done in a safe and sustainable way.
In this role you will have the responsibility for:
- Managing the sites operational activities in accordance with the Operational Excellence principles
- Being an effective leader for the site staff
- Implement the regional KPI's at site level
- Product development and product optimization
- Mineral management (control of lab and products intended for mortar and concrete production etc.)
- Close collaboration with Sales/Marketing to achieve the best mass balance
- Ensuring operational activities are executed within the budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions
- Implementing, maintaining and improving processes
- H&S at the Site (supported by Norway H&S BP)
Skills and Experience requirements:
