This role will require regular travel
Role Purpose:
Ensure commercial growth and manage the overall sales and marketing activities in the Nordic, in compliance with commercial standards and corporate policies, to deliver the P&L, grow the business and realize the set performance objectives in terms of revenue, gross margin, market share, planning and costs.
Responsibilities:
- As member of the leadership team of the EVP Commercial Europe, actively contribute to the development and implementation of the Nordic growth strategy.
- Shared responsibility with operations and finance VPs to deliver the region's P&L and working capital target in accordance with the annual budget.
- Lead the development of an effective commercial strategy for the region in order to realize the company's volume, revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead, organize and supervise the work and processes delivered by the commercial team.
- Translate the commercial strategy and plans into clear processes, organization and systems.
- Follow closely the evolution of the industry in the region to identify growth opportunities & lead the commercial function to effectively manage existing accounts and develop new business.
- Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop the commercial Nordic team.
- Establish and maintain a continuous improvement culture, optimize processes and systems and implement global processes
- Ensure full compliance with the highest business standards, while conducting business for Sibelco.
- Ad-hoc project work contributing to the realization of the company's targets.
About you:
Are you an experienced sales and marketing professional (B2B and/or technical) with a strong track record of leadership and P&L delivery
Fluent in English and either Norwegian, Swedish or Danish

Norway – Sibelco's Norwegian head office is located in Sandvika and its operations are: Aaheim - olivine quarry, Fossbekk - quartz processing and distribution site, Spone - silica sand quarry and processing & distribution plant, Stjernøy - nepheline syenite quarry.
Finland - The head office for Sibelco Finland is in Espoo and operations are: Nilsia, a quartz quarry and enrichment plant; Kimito, a Feldspar plant with several quarries and enrichment plant; Nakkila, processes slag for abrasive products and Karvia, which is based on natural sand for different applications like biofuel and paints.
Sibelco Sweden's head office is based in Mölndal, and has operations spread over 4 locations: Baskarp, a silica sand plant with several quarries; Forshammar, a Feldspar quarry; Västerås, with three processes lines and customer made products/packaging material; Lödöse, a Waterglass chemical process plant.
Sibelco Denmark located on the island Bornholm established 1971. Our operation at Ronne on Bornholm includes a seagoing dredge where sand is dredged from the Baltic Sea and a processing plant with sand storage with supporting services of laboratory, operations services and site administration.
