Sibelco South America
Sibelco has been present in South America since 2001. The company now operates more than 30 mines, factories, sales offices and distribution centers in the region with operations based out of its Jaguaruna, Jarinu and Pedra do Indaiá locations
Location: Alphaville, Brazil
This role will require regular travel
Role Purpose:
Ensure commercial growth and manage the overall sales, marketing and customer service activities in South America, in compliance with commercial standards and corporate policies, to deliver the P&L, grow the business and realize the set performance objectives in terms of revenue, gross margin, market share, planning and costs.
Responsibilities:
- As member of the leadership team of the EVP International, actively contribute to the development and implementation of the South America growth strategy.
- Shared responsibility with operations and finance VPs to deliver the region's P/L and working capital target in accordance with the annual budget.
- Lead the development of an effective commercial strategy for the region in order to realize the company's volume, revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead, organize and supervise the work and processes delivered by the commercial team.
- Translate the commercial strategy and plans into clear processes, organization and systems.
- Follow closely the evolution of the industry in the region to identify growth opportunities & lead the commercial function to effectively manage existing accounts and develop new business.
- Attract, lead, coach, appraise and develop the commercial South America team.
- Establish and maintain a continuous improvement culture, optimize processes and systems and implement global processes
- Ensure full compliance with the highest business standards, while conducting business for Sibelco.
- Ad-hoc project work contributing to the realization of the company's targets.
Requirements:
Necessary knowledge and experience to help shape Sibelco's South American growth path through both organic and inorganic growth
- Strong Business Development professional
- Previous experience in exploring M&A possibilities
- Knowledge of industrial minerals market in Latin America highly regarded
Demonstrated track record of leadership and P&L delivery
Fluent in English
Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese
