We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to be based at either our North Sydney or South Brisbane office, engaged on an 18 month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, your primary responsibilities will be to influence and support mining and production sites to achieve excellence in health and safety performance. To achieve this you will be required to work with Operations, Business Unit and Project Managers to achieve desired compliance and work in accordance with the Sibelco Business Management System and regulatory requirements.
Ideally you will possess;
- A formal tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, or similar
- Proven extensive Health & Safety experience ideally gained in the resource, manufacturing or heavy industry sector
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing Health & Safety management systems
- Embedded understanding of health and safety legislation
- Well-developed analytical and technical skills to interpret and report on data
- Excellent influencing, coaching and negotiation skills are essential
