We are currently recruiting for a permanent fulltime Maintenance Fitter, Boilermaker or General Maintenance Handy Person to be based at our Tamaree Lime Processing Plant located approximately 10 kilometres north of Gympie, Queensland. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will assist in the regular maintenance, repair and unscheduled breakdown rectification services for processing plant and equipment.
Ordinarily this will be a day shift Monday to Friday role however you will be required to participate in an on-call roster and work on the occasions that unforeseen breakdowns occur, whereby overtime will be accrued.
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Boiler Maker or general handy person with fault finding experience in a heavy industrial industry.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and materials handling equipment as well as sound welding and fabrication skills.
- A current manual driver's licence is essential.
- HRW licence for Forklift, Confined Space, Working at Heights, EWP and First Aid all highly regarded.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of the concepts of preventative maintenance, condition monitoring and maintenance scheduling and will have a positive attitude towards safety with an ability to demonstrate leadership in this area. You will also have a commitment to Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements and legislation, and will be successful at working as part of a team.
