We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Tradesperson to join our team based at our Miles Operation in QLD. The position will be utilising skills in fixed and mobile plant maintenance and fabrication trades. Experience with mining or heavy industry would be highly advantageous.
Reporting to the site Maintenance Supervisor, you will be involved with general maintenance activities, for example repairs, planned maintenance activities, shutdown assistance, capital projects, major and minor breakdowns and equipment reliability amongst others.
- Performing all activities in accordance with site safety policies and practices, including isolation procedures
- Safety as a first priority
- Ensuring a high standard of work at all times
- Breakdown and preventative maintenance on mining and processing equipment
- Performing general machining tasks
- Welding and fabricating
- Assisting with maintaining work related consumables
- Assist with housekeeping duties
Requirements for the position:
You must possess a current driver's licence and a Mechanical trade certificate and will have demonstrated experience in a relevant industry either in mining, manufacturing or processing. Automatic/robotic packaging plant experience, fabricating experience and mobile maintenance experience are not essential, but would be viewed favourably. A current forklift licence would also be an advantage.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate and work with a variety of people at a range of organisational levels in addition to a commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
