We are currently recruiting for a mechanical maintenance apprentice to be based at our Riverton Limestone site, located approximately 72 km's from Tenterfield. The quarry is not a FIFO operation and it is likely that a suitable candidate resides within the locally. Riverton runs a positive culture and recognizes the benefits that engaged employees bring to the business and themselves. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the successful candidate can expect to gain exposure to all aspects of mechanical repairs and maintence of:
- Fixed crushing and screening plant
- Conveyors and product elevators
- Air classifiers
- Product augers
The ideal applicant will be comfortable working as a member of a team and have a demonstrated practical mechanical aptitude. Completion of Year 10 with passes in Maths and English is essential, as is good mechanical aptitude and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will also have a positive attitude towards safety and a willingness to be trained in Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements and legislation. You will demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and receive training and development to take on additional responsibilities as required.
